At Ernestine Matthews Scholarship, we believe that the best solutions come from the people who are most affected by the problem. We are dedicated to working with students from Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia & the District of Columbia — providing support in order to unlock their potential. We want all individuals to envision their goals and realize they have the ability to make their dreams a reality. This educational trust was established by the Will of Ernestine Matthews. Students must sign a statement that they will not use tobacco or alcohol while receiving money from the Trust.
